Almost 80 percent of young renters say they're worried about keeping a roof over their head due to low supply and high prices.
That's according to a poll by the Irish Daily Mail, with over 90 percent of those in Connacht and Ulster expressing those fears.
A report earlier this month from property website DAFT showed just over 850 properties available for rent in the state.
6 in 10 people also said they had to cut back on basics like food or heat to meet the cost of their rent.
