A former solicitor from Mayo has been remanded on bail for sentence next November, after he admitted to stealing cash from a number of people.
David Doyle with an address at Castletown Cross, Claremorris, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to four charges of stealing cash on dates between April 2009 and November 2016.
The amount of cash stolen over the course of these years came in at just over €53,000.
Barrister Diana Stuart, prosecuting told the court that the pleas were entered “on a without prejudice basis” and the State would require further guilty pleas.
Judge Melanie Greally remanded the 68-year-old on continuing bail and adjourned sentencing to the 10th of November next, when evidence will be heard.
She ordered victim impact statements for that date.
