The Principal of Kilmurry N.S Noreen Lennon says the lack of broadband in the school is holding back the education of students.
Broadband is an essential piece of infrastructure for any school.
However, Richmond NS, Kilmurry, near Crossmolina is struggling to secure an adequate service.
The National Broadband Plan is being rolled out within approximately two miles of the school, but not reaching the school.
Local Fianna Fail Councillor Michael Loftus raised the plight of the school at the monthly meeting of Ballina Municipal District and he says he has been raising this problem for the last four years.
