Clifden RNLI are bringing their new 'Launch a Memory' lifeboat home to Galway today with 10,000 names on board.

The St Christopher is on show from now until lunchtime on Clifden beach - with an opportunity at low tide for the public to get up close and view the names displayed on the hull.

They've been put there by members of the public, through a special fundraising initiative which was run by the search and rescue charity before the pandemic.

Clifden RNLI's John Mullin says it's an emotional occasion for all involved.
