COVID-19 vaccines are strongly recommended by the NIAC for children aged 5 to 11 years who live with underlying conditions, living with a younger child with complex medical needs, living with a person who has a weak immune system (immunocompromised).
It is important that you do not go to a vaccination centre if you have COVID-19; if you have symptoms of COVID-19 or if you have been told to self isolate.
You can find more information about having a weak immune system and COVID-19 vaccines on hse.ie.
