Gardai have seized €30,000 worth of cannabis in Galway.
As part of Operation Tara, Gardai searched a house in the Knocknacarra area of the city yesterday, on foot of a search warrant.
Cannabis herb worth an estimated €30,000 was found and one man in his 50's was arrested at the scene.
He was detained at the Garda North Western Regional Headquarters in Galway for questioning under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and has since been released without charge, while a file is being prepared for the DPP.
The Garda investigation is ongoing.
