Restaurants and bars across the region are looking forward to an increase in customers over the coming days and weeks, following the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions last Saturday.

The lifting of the 8pm curfew and the removal of the need for Covid certs were among the changes, while customers can go back to sitting at the bar.

Speaking to Midwest News, Fergus welcomed the lifting of restrictions and said it's great to be fully open again....
