The Co Galway town of Tuam will see a major investment in two schools on the Dublin Road.

Galway East Fianna Fail TD, and Minister for Disability Anne Rabbitte has welcomed news of a new building for Trinity Primary School with 41 classrooms - including 5 for special educational needs - while 8 new classrooms are being provided for the Tuam Educate Together primary school, with 2 SEN rooms  through the repurposing of the existing school.

Minister Rabbitte says this is a major investment in schools in Tuam and is welcome news for families in the area.

The Minister said, not only are we seeing almost 50 classrooms being added, but 7 of these are for supporting special educational needs.

She said the investment will give both schools a more concrete future, and allow them to plan for the years ahead.
