There's a call on the Government to intervene to tackle skyrocketing fertilizer prices.
Independent Cork South-West TD Michael Collins says the cost has soared from 300 euro per tonne to 900 euro.
He says the spiralling price of fertliser will destroy Irish family farms unless the state takes steps to prevent them going out of business.
Deputy Collins says the Government has the power to take action but is asleep at the wheel.
