The number of people being treated for Covid 19 in Irish hospitals has fallen for the fifth day in a row.
Today 836 patients are in hospital, a drop of 56 on yesterday.
There are 77 patients with the virus at Galway University Hospital the highest in the country.
Elsewhere there are 23 patients with the disease at Mayo University Hospital, 16 at Sligo University Hospital and 7 at the Portiuncula University Hospital.
The 836 total today represents a significant reduction on the recent peak of 1,063 from January 10th.
The number of patients in ICU has fallen to its lowest level since the 8th of November.
It now stands at 78, having dropped by 10 in the last 24 hours.
Of those 4 are in Galway, 3 are in the Portiuncula and there are 2 each in both Mayo and Sligo.
