The appointment has been announced of Bishop Michael Burrows as the new Church of Ireland Bishop of Tuam, Limerick and Killaloe.
The Catholic Archbishop of Tuam Francis Duffy has welcomed the appointment saying Bishops Burrows begins his ministry here at an exciting and challenging time, given the recent amalgamation of Church of Ireland dioceses. He brings to his new appointment, a wealth of valuable experience.
The new Church of Ireland the Bishop of Tuam, Limerick and Killaloe takes over at the helm of the new, geographically extended diocese following the recent retirement of the Right Reverend Patrick Rooke.
