There have been 14 break-ins to private homes in Carnmore and Claregalway over the last ten days.

According to Galway Fianna Fail Senator Ollie Crowe the incidents generally appear to follow a similar pattern. Two/three males are dropped off and carry out a surveillance of the area, they are collected within ten to fifteen minutes. Shorty after that a home that has been checked out and appears empty is broken into and ransacked quickly. The break-ins have generally happened between 5-8pm.

Anyone who notices suspicious activity in their area, is asked to contact Millstreet Garda Station on 091-538000

Senator Crowe has contacted Millstreet Gardaí and requested enhanced patrols of the area.
