Brown Thomas Stores in Galway, Dublin, Cork and Limerick are now under new ownership.

A Thai and Austrian based joint venture have purchased parent group Selfridges.

The deal is believed to be worth in the region of 4.7 billion euro.

Selfridges Group purchased the overall catalogue of stores in 2003 for just over 700 million euro.
