The Erris Chamber of Commerce is streaming their music event 'Nollaig Beo!' this evening.
The programme was recorded on site in the beautiful former church of Ireland in Belmullet Town.
Acts featured include;
- 'Luz' (pronounced luce), a sky-rocketing young singer-songwriter from Offaly who has over 60 million video streams online.
-'Don't Tell Mum'; who are an up-in-coming indie-alt band from Dublin, who have just released their second single to critical acclaim.
- Belmullet musician 'Malachy Gaughan' who is known widely in the pub gig circles, however, tonight he will debut his own original material for the first time.
This 'Nollaig Beo!' music event is part of a larger series of planned arts, music and Cultural events in North-west Mayo over the coming months and years under the banner 'Beo ar an Imeall' - a community project team formed from several community groups including Erris Chamber of Commerce, Iorras Domhnann(Belmullet Tourism Office), Belmullet Tidy Towns and Coiste Oidreachta Iorrais (Erris Heritage Society)
This event is supported by the Department of Arts, Sports and Tourism through the Local Live Performance Initiative administered by Mayo County Council.
It begins at 8pm on their youtube channel 'Beo ar an Imeall'.
