Support for Sinn Fein has jumped six points to 37 percent approval in the latest opinion poll in the Sunday Times today.

The party's leader Mary Lou McDonald is at 50 percent- nine points clear of the Taoiseach Micheal Martin.

According to the survey, Fine Gael remain unchanged at 21 percent while Fianna Fail have dropped 3 points to 20 percent, and overall satisfaction with the government has slipped two points to 38 percent.

The poll was carried out following the Sinn Fein ard fheis in Dublin last week.
