The number of Covid-19 patients being treated in hospitals across the West has increased over the Bank Holiday Weekend.
Nationally, there were 500 Covid-positive patients in hospital last night - with 99 of these patients in intensive care.
In this region, there are 37 Covid patients being treated at Galway University Hospital, 18 at Sligo University Hospital and 11 at Mayo University Hospital - all three hospitals have seen an increase in Covid patients since last Friday.
Meanwhile, Mayo has recorded the sixth-highest number of deaths from Covid-19 in Ireland since the start of the pandemic.
Figures released by the CSO on Friday last show that, from the start of the pandemic to 15th October this year, 198 people had died in Co Mayo as a result of the disease - that's the 6th highest figure nationally.
Dublin, Cork, Kildare, Limerick and Louth recorded higher numbers of deaths.
Of the people in Mayo who died from Covid, the median age was 84.
