In relation to social welfare, there are 5 euro per week increases in weekly welfare payments and the State pension, along with the weekly fuel allowance from midnight tonight, while thousands more carers are in line to receive the Carer's Allowance .
A double payment of social welfare allowances will be paid at Christmas.
In terms of health measures - Children aged 6 and 7 will receive free GP care, while the Govt will also reduce the burden of hospital charges for children
Free contraception will be provided to women aged 17-25 from next August
The maximum amount someone will pay for prescribed medicine under the Drugs Repayment Scheme will be cut from €114 a month to €100
And a 250m euro fund to tackle waiting lists has been announced.
A number of investments have been announced in the childcare sector - including no increase in creche fees for parents, while conditions for workers in this sector will be improved.
A Youth Travel Card will be introduced, which will allow for a 50% reduction in public transport fees for people aged between 19 and 23.
Increases have also been announced in third-level grants,
980 new teachers will be hired, and 1,165 extra SNAs.
Additional places have been announced for apprentices, with 3,320 additional CAO places being provided.
800 extra Gardai will be appointed, along with 400 additional Garda civilian staff.
