People from across Co Mayo who are impacted by pyrite damage in their home, or who know anyone in this situation, are being urged to travel to Dublin tomorrow to take part in a national demonstration.
Campaigners are seeking 100% compensation for the cost of repairing or rebuilding thousands of homes across Mayo and Donegal, with homeowners in other counties also now coming forward to report similar problems with crumbling blocks and cracks in their interior and exterior walls.
The existing scheme offers a maximum of 90% redress.
Barbara Clinton of the North Mayo Pyrite group is urging people to make the journey to the capital, to highlight the importance of this issue for so many families.
