The death has taken place of Sligo-born Jimmy Neary, a well-known publican and restaurateur in New York.
A native of Tubbercurry, Jimmy Neary emigrated to America in 1954 at the age of 24 and went on to establish the legendary Neary's restaurant on East 57th Street.
The restaurant opened on St Patrick's Day 1967, and became a go-to spot for high-ranking politicians, religious leaders, TV personalities, well-known authors and sports stars.
For over 50 years, Jimmy has on hand to welcome customers, until his death at the weekend at the age of 91.
Jimmy was a close friend of former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, who will give the eulogy at his Funeral Mass this Saturday in St Patrick's Cathedral on 5th Avenue.
The Archbishop of New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan will be the celebrant.
Jimmy Neary was pre-deceased by his wife Eileen, and is survived by his son and 3 daughters, 8 grandchildren, and extended family.
