The proposed Mayo Centre of Excellence at Lough Lannagh project will be discussed by clubs this week after new information has been learned by the Executive.
Mayo County Board held a meeting with delegates in Castlebar last night where it emerged that the site will not be able to accommodate the organisation's wishes to develop four playing pitches at the location.
A technical environmental analysis of the site was carried out by Mayo County Council recently which has raised the question if the project is still viable for Mayo GAA.
In 2018 Mayo County Council and Mayo GAA agreed in principle to the purchase and development of 27 acres of land at Lough Lannagh.
Clubs will discuss the project and bring their feedback to the next County Board meeting at the end of this
Mayo GAA Chairman Liam Moffatt says the challenge is the project has changed from three years ago.
