The water supply to customers in the Hagfield and Cashel areas of Charlestown has been restored this afternoon.
Irish Water, working with Mayo County Council, completed urgent repairs to a pump in the Charlestown area.
Crews were on site this morning to restore the supply as quickly and safely as possible in line with Covid-19 protocols. These works are now complete and water supply to all affected properties was restored at 11.30am.
Asset Operations Lead with Irish Water, Ger Greally said: “Irish Water understands the inconvenience this incident has caused and we would like to thank customers for their patience while we worked to carry out the repairs and restore normal supply as quickly and safely as possible.”
