Foxford-based Councillor Neil Cruise is appealing for the public’s assistance in locating two local emergency service kayaks.
The two kayaks’ were allegedly stolen from a house in Tavnaughmore.
They are the property of Foxford Search & Rescue & were stored at a house in the area to accommodate members using them on Lough Cullin for training purposes.
Both are limey green in colour with Foxford District Search and Rescue clearly labelled on the side in blue writing.
Fine Gael Councillor Neil Cruise says ‘we all know the valuable work that our Search & Rescue team do in our community.’
He is appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or who may have information on this matter to contact local Gardaí.
