Two locations in County Galway have made the 20-strong short list in the Irish Times Best Place to Live in Ireland 2021 competition.
Galway city and Clonbur have both been included in the selection, as has Carrick-on-Shannon in Co Leitrim.
Over the course of the summer, more than 2,400 members of the public nominated 470 locations in every county in Ireland.
Each place was judged on a wide range of criteria including: natural amenities; community initiatives and spirit; transport links; employment opportunities; the price of property and housing supply.
The winner will be announced in late September.
