August was the worst month on Irish roads in over 9 years after 24 people died.
The Road Safety Authority has described the death toll as "deeply concerning", and said a number of factors- including busier roads after lockdown - caused the rise in fatalities.
The youngest person to die in a road crash last month was an 8-month old baby girl, who was killed alongside her parents after a motorist drove the wrong way down the M6 and crashed into their car near Ballinasloe.
Meanwhile, the funeral will take place tomorrow of John O'Malley, a married father of two originally from Louisburg, Co Mayo who died while cycling in Corr na Mona, Co Galway on Sunday afternoon.
His Funeral Mass will be held in St Brendan's Church, Annaghdown, Galway at 12 noon tomorrow with burial afterwards in Cregg Cemetery.
