Covid-19 cases remain high across Connacht, with 765 new cases of the virus confirmed in Mayo in the last fortnight.
Latest figures from the Health Protection Surveillance Centre show that, in the last two weeks of August, there were 1300 new cases confirmed in Co Galway, 765 in Mayo, 432 ni Roscommon, 391 in Sligo and 158 in Leitrim.
The national 14-day incidence rate of the virus is now 525 cases per 100,000 people.
Monaghan, Donegal, Cavan and Longford have the highest rates, followed by Sligo and Roscommon.
Roscommon, Sligo and Mayo all currently have 14-day rates that are higher than the national average.
Last night, there were 335 Covid patients being treated in hospitals across the country.
University Hospital Galway has the second highest, with 31 Covid patients at present, with 19 patients being treated at Sligo University Hospital and 10 at Mayo University Hospital.
