A number of projects across counties Roscommon and Galway have secured funding today under Department of Rural and Community Development’s CLÁR Programme.

Local Senator Eugene Murphy says Galway-Roscommon is to benefit from over €350,000, with local amenities and schools receiving significant investment from the fund.

Projects receiving funding include:

St. Mary's NS, Strokestown

The construction of a safe pedestrian path and segregated lined parking spaces.€47,593.00

 

Enterprise Kiltullagh CLG

The extension of the Lough O’Flynn Loop to join with the existing walk. Development of a wetlands area adjacent to the lake. Expansion of the existing outdoor gym. €29,213.00

 

Camloon NS

Provide landscaped outdoor playing and exercise facilities.€50,000.

 

Clonown NS

Installation of three public lights. Footpath to facilitate disabled access road markings. €20,106.00

 

Croghan NS

Inclusive play area which is intended to be a safe place for all abilities especially the children in the Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) unit. €50,000.00

 

Ballymoe & District Angling Club

 

Provide a service jetty to the river Suck at the picnic area on the Roscommon road at Ballymoe and to include a safe family fun. €50,000.00

 

St. Brigid's NS, Dangan

 

 

Construction and upgrading of drainage works, access and street lighting next to school,

church and community facilities. The proposal is to provide age friendly access to Dangan NS

€22,500.00 and adjacent Dangan Church

along the L1030-55 at Dangan

 

Clonbern NS

 

Pedestrian crossing and school

parking upgrades.
