Fáilte Ireland is to start work today on updating its guidelines for the hospitality sector - after new advice on outdoor events.
The tourism group will hold talks with government officials 'first thing' this morning to begin the process.
The Attorney-General yesterday said 200 people can attend an outdoor gathering - in what's being seen as a big boost to hotels, pubs and restaurants.
The Government is now under pressure to clarify the revised guidelines on open-air gatherings, after it said certain outdoor activities with up to 200 are permitted.
Some opposition figures have criticised the apparent contradiction between last night's Government statement, and its stance on events such as Confirmations and Holy Communions.
The statement was issued following a day of controversy surrounding an event organised by former Minister Katherine Zappone, which culminated in her turning down a position as a Government envoy.
Revised guidelines are now being drawn up by Failte Ireland to provide clarity on outdoor events
