An additional one million euro in funding has been allocated today to the Local Action Groups in Mayo. The allocation is part of the €70 million in funding announced in April, secured by Minister Humphreys, as part of the government’s plan Our Rural Future.
Mayo deputy Alan Dillon says today’s additional funding will see the development and enhancement of projects in areas such as enterprise development, climate change and the circular economy.
It will also fund projects that maximise the potential of broadband.
The five Local Action Groups in the county are eligible to distribute this LEADER funding.
The deputy is urging all communities and local enterprises who wish to avail of this funding to make contact with their Local Action Group to discuss how the LEADER Programme can assist their plans.
