Dry, warm and sunny - that's what we can expect weather-wise for the weekend, according to Met Eireann.

Mount Dillon in Co Roscommon recorded the highest temperature nationally yesterday, along with Dublin's Phoenix Park - both registering 23 degrees celsius.

And temperatures will continue to heat up across Ireland in the coming days, with warm sunshine and temperatures reaching the mid-20's on both Saturday and Sunday.

Met Eireann forecaster Aoife Keely told Midwest News that the weather is set to get considerably warmer once the cloud across the West today burns off as the day goes on, bringing warm and sunny spells....
