Pharmacists across the region have today begun administering Covid-19 vaccines to young people aged between 18 and 34.
21 pharmacies in Co Mayo are offering the service, and a list of participating pharmacies in each county are available on the HSE website.
It marks a significant acceleration of the country's vaccination programme, and could lead to all adults being protected against the virus as early as the end of August.
Tuam-based pharmacist Darragh O'Loughlin, general secretary of the Irish Pharmacy Union, told Midwest News that there's huge demand for the vaccines, which are limited.
