"Save our Summer", "Stop the Nonsense", "Save Our Jobs" - just some of the slogans carried on placards in Ballina today, during a protest over the delay in reopening hospitality.
Pub, restaurant and cafe owners were among a large gathering organised to highlight their frustration over the ongoing restrictions in the hospitality sector.
It was originally planned that pubs and restaurants could serve customers indoors from next Monday, but earlier this week, the Cabinet decided to postpone the reopening, due to concerns over the rapid spread of the Delta variant.
Those taking part in today's rally gathered on Pearse Street and made their made to the post office, where a number of speeches were made.
