Public Health advice on delaying the reopening of indoor hospitality and vaccine bonuses for dining inside is ‘NPHET gone mad’.
That’s according to the Chairman of the Galway Vintners Federation of Ireland, Joe Sheridan.
The Fianna Fail Councillor owns Walsh’s pub in Dunmore and he said this latest deferral is devastating news for over 3,500 families businesses across the country.
He has hit out at suggestions of a vaccine bonus for indoor dining; highlighting the fact that many workers in the sector are young and much less likely to be vaccinated.
Joe Sheridan, the Chair of the Galway VFI told Midwest News that he believes there is an element of common sense missing from the latest NPHET protocols regarding indoor hospitality.
