The Covid-19 walk-in centre at NUI Galway campus has served its purpose and should be relocated to the city centre.
That’s the view of Councillor Michael Crowe, who sent a proposal to the HSE to consider moving the centre to a more central location.
The local Fianna Fail councillor says a new location in the city centre would make more sense, considering the anticipated drop in student numbers as the academic year comes to an end.
He argues the walk-in centre would garner greater footfall if it was moved to a premises near Eyre Square over the summer.
