Ballina Collaborative Town Centre Health Check is a pilot initiative geared at yielding baseline data to inform future sustainable development of the town.
A summary of the health check findings was presented to local elected councillors at their monthly meeting by Mags Downey Martin of Ballina Chamber of Commerce and Deirdre Cunningham who is Mayo County Council’s Heritage Officer.
There were some fascinating findings from the survey, which shows that Friday is the busiest day footfall wise and 87% of the people interviewed in the survey say they shop in the town at least once a week.
