Town centre Residents’ parking permits in Ballina will now have to be used in car parks rather than for on the street parking, Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm.
The change was approved by elected councillors at the monthly meeting of Ballina Municipal District.
Fully paid up rate payers in the town are also being offered half price parking permits for use in periphery carparks, as distinct from town centre carparks.
The changes have been agreed in an effort to assist ease of town centre car parking for shoppers/visitors to Ballina.
