Ballina councillors have approved the introduction of e-parking in the town.
This would mean that drivers would not need cash at the car parking machines rather they could pay online for their street and carpark charges.
At the recent monthly meeting of Ballina Municipal District the development was unanimously approved by elected councillors under amendments to the town’s parking bye-laws.
Now approved, e-parking will take some time to become operational in Ballina.
Local Independent councillor Mark Duffy told Midwest News that it’s a welcome development required to meet the demands of today’s travelling public.
