Renovations on public toilets in Mullaghmore beach and Rosses Point in County Sligo are now complete.

That’s according to the Cathaoirleach of Sligo Drumcliffe, Cllr Thomas Walsh welcoming the completion of works undertaken from funding obtained under the Town and Village Renewal Programme.

The toilets are now open at Mullaghmore and there will be a disabled toilet installed shortly at a location agreed with the community.

The public toilets in Rosses Point are also now open and there has been a new disabled toilet added adjacent to the existing public toilets following a number of issues last year.

A new cleaning contract is also in place now at both amenities.

Councillor Thomas Walsh told Midwest News that it was important to have these facilities ready ahead of a busy tourist season.
