One of the largest passenger aircrafts in the world, landed at Ireland West Airport Knock this morning.

Just after 11am an Airbus A330 touched down.

It's the first time ever that an A330 landed at the airport.

Over a year ago,(Feb 2020), a larger Airbus A380 came down at IWAK.

Today’s aircraft is over 60 metres in length, 17 metres high, and its wingspan stretches over 60 metres.

It has 300 seats, and they were all vacant on arrival into IWAK.

It’s likely that the aircraft is destined for EirTrade Avaition Ireland Ltd, located at the airport. It’s an asset trading and management company with operations in Dublin and IWAK.

Midwest News has contacted the company for confirmation and we are awaiting a response.
