110 people are being treated in public hospitals this morning for Covid-19 - a drop of 9% in the past week.
34 of these patients are in Intensive Care.
It comes as 448 new cases of the virus and 8 deaths were reported yesterday.
The deaths date back to between January and March.
In this region, there were 11 new cases in Roscommon - the county now has the 4th highest rate of the virus nationally, having recorded 126 new cases in the past fornight.
There were less than 5 new cases in Galway and no new cases reported in Mayo, Sligo or Leitrim.
The 14-day incidence rate of the virus nationally is 129 cases per 100,000 people.
7 counties currently have higher rates - including Roscommon which is at 195 cases per 100,000 people.
Only Kildare, Donegal and Dublin have higher rates than Roscommon.
Sligo and Mayo are among the lowest 3 counties at present.
