The Government should consider rolling out Covid-19 vaccines to those in high-risk jobs - such as teachers, special needs assistants and Gardai - in parallel with the age-based rollout announced last week.
That's according to Sligo-Leitrim TD Marian Harkin.
It comes as the three teacher unions -the INTO, TUI and ASTI - have today voted for a motion backing industrial action - up to and including strike action - if they are not prioritised for vaccination.
Deputy Harkin says the Government should consider a parallel rollout, allowing those working in crowded sectors to be prioritised, alongside the different age cohorts.
