Bank of Ireland must ensure that the ATM machine in Ballymote remains operational - regardless of the branch closing later this year.
That's according to the Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council, Dara Mulvey.
Councillor Mulvey has put down a notice of motion for the April meeting of the local authority, calling on the council to write to Bank of Ireland CEO Francesca McDonagh to voice its anger and disappointment at the decision to close the branches in Ballymote and Tubbercurry.
The Fine Gael Councillor believes the bank should hand back these buildings to Sligo County Council for community facilities, and should also ensure that Ballymote is not left without an out-of-hours ATM machine.
