A Galway doctor says it is extremely disappointing that the AstraZeneca vaccine has temporarily been suspended from use here.
Ballygar GP Dr Martin Daly remains hopeful that the move by the European Medicines Agency is only a precautionary measure and says the Agency in Ireland did the right thing in suspending it.
He says the problem surrounding the vaccine continues to be the lack of data on it and he claims the pharma company didn’t produce enough information into its jab in a timely manner.

Dr Martin Daly told Midwest News that we can’t afford to drop our guard ahead of the St Patrick’s Day and risk another surge of infection.
