Funding of €400,000 has been announced this morning for two outdoor recreation projects in Mayo.
Under measure 2 of the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme, €200,000 has been allocated for the Burrishoole loop walks - for trail improvements to the existing network of walks.
€200,000 has also been allocated for the Monasteries Trail in Ballina, for a trail extension to Belleek Woods, and additional section of the Monasteries of the Moy Greenway and Western Way.
