The mass vaccination Centre at Breaffy House Resort in Castlebar will be fully kitted out and appropriately converted by the end of the first week of March and it’s hoped it will be operational and available to the public for vaccination by the middle of March
That was confirmed today by the CEO of the Saolta Hospital Group, Tony Canavan.
At today’s virtual HSE West Forum meeting, Castlebar councillor Martin McLoughlin sought an update on the county vaccination centre in Breaffy.
Mr Canavan said work at the Breaffy House Resort is underway at present and will be completed by the end of next week.
Then he said the vaccination team will move on to the site, and it’s planned that vaccination of the public will get underway by the middle of March but he said that is completely dependent on vaccine availability.
