690 people with Covid-19 are receiving treatment in Irish hospitals today - the first time the figure has fallen below 700 since early January.
It's a 4 percent decrease on yesterday's total, while it's 19 percent down on last Tuesday.
In the past 24 hours there were 43 admissions to and 44 discharges from hospitals.
Across the region there are 36 patients with the virus at Mayo University Hospital- up 2, 25 at Galway University Hospital- down 5, 10 at Sligo Hospital- down 1 and 3 at the Portiuncula- down 1.
Overnight there were 156 people in ICU, which was the highest number in over a week.
There are 7 patients with the disease on critical care beds in Galway, 3 in Mayo and 2 in Sligo.
