Stormy weather conditions are once again forecast across the region this evening.
A Status Yellow Wind warning comes into effect across Mayo, Galway, Sligo and ten other counties at 9 o’clock tonight and lasts until 6 o’clock tomorrow morning.
Met Eireann says southerly winds will reach mean wind speeds of 50 to 65km/h, with gusts of 90 to 110km/h, possibly higher on exposed coasts and where winds are onshore, there is a risk of coastal flooding.
Following that, a 24-hour status yellow rainfall warning will come into effect across Connacht, Munster and three Leinster counties from Midnight on Tuesday.
Heavy rain could lead to some river and localised surface flooding with rainfall totals of 30 to 50mm expected, higher in mountainous regions.
