Thai food chain Camile Thai is to open 15 new outlets across Ireland and the UK, including Mayo, with the creation of over 300 jobs.

220 of the jobs will be based in Ireland, as the chain plans to open new outlets in Dublin, Cork, Mayo and Waterford.

The roles will be in retail, business development, marketing, sales, and cookery.

Camile Thai was founded in 2010 by Brody Sweeney, and currently has more than 35 outlets across Ireland and the UK.

The chain was the first in Europe to deliver its menu by drone earlier this year, and has plans to automate its kitchens with robotics in 2021.

Just Eat, a food ordering and delivery service company, says that drone delivery is from today available to customers in Oranmore, Co. Galway.

Powered by Manna and served-up in partnership with Camile Thai, the drone takeaway delivery service is live for the first time ever on the Just Eat app from today.

Warren Codd is Camile Thai’s Chief Financial Controller and he’s been telling Midwest News about the exciting expansion of the Thai food chain.
