The five-day average has dropped to 835 cases, after 921 new infections were confirmed yesterday.
There were 32 new cases in Galway, 10 in Mayo, 5 in Leitrim and less than 5 cases in both counties Sligo and Roscommon
894 people are in public hospitals with the virus, with 169 in ICU.
Leo Varadkar says he's confident those numbers will drop by 50 per cent in the coming weeks.
