Thousands of homes, farms and businesses are without power this morning after strong winds and snow overnight.
The ESB says there are large outages across Mayo in Facefield, Swinford, Achill, Crossmolina, Ardnaree and Ballyhaunis; Enniscrone in Co. Sligo; and Tuam and Kilconly in Co. Galway with crews working to restore the supply.
ESB have apologised for the loss of supply and are currently working to repair these faults affecting premises across the region.
They say they will restore power as quickly as possible.
A status yellow snow and ice alert remains in place until 12 noon for all of Connacht and Leinster as well as Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal.
Gardaí are advising motorists to take extreme caution as roads are treacherous right across the region.
