The community of Ballinrobe is upset and angered by the act of vandalism that occurred last night when the local National School’s football pitch was extensively damaged, according to local councillor Michael Burke.
Cllr Burke told Midwest News this evening that he has rarely experienced the level of outrage locally today over this wanton act of vandalism.
Gardai in Ballinrobe are investigating the incident where four males in three vehicles drove on to the recently re-developed St Joseph’s NS football pitch last night and started driving, forming donuts on the surface of the facility.
Cllr Burke spoke to Midwest News this evening about the senselessness of the divers' actions.
